Join a Growing Residential Construction TeamAdvance your estimating career with a respected, quality-driven contractor.Job DescriptionThe Residential Estimator will report to senior leadership within the preconstruction and operations team and will be responsible for developing accurate and competitive project estimates for residential construction projects.Review construction drawings, specifications, and bid documents.Perform quantity takeoffs and develop detailed cost estimates.Prepare accurate proposals and bid submissions for residential projects.Solicit and evaluate pricing from subcontractors and suppliers.Collaborate with operations teams to support project planning and execution.Manage multiple bids and deadlines while maintaining estimate accuracy.Build and maintain strong relationships with builders, vendors, and internal stakeholders.MPI does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, marital status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state or local law. MPI encourages applications from minorities, women, the disabled, protected veterans and all other qualified applicants.The Successful ApplicantFor the Residential Estimator we are seeking:Proven construction estimating experience within residential construction.Experience estimating concrete, foundations, flatwork, site development, excavation, or related trades preferred.Strong blueprint reading and quantity takeoff capabilities.Understanding of construction methods, materials, labor productivity, and pricing.Ability to manage multiple estimates and deadlines simultaneously.Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.Strong verbal and written communication abilities.Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Office applications.Experience working with production homebuilders or high-volume residential builders is a plus.Knowledge of local residential construction markets is beneficial.Preconstruction, project coordination, or project management exposure is advantageous.What's on OfferBase Salary: $80,000 - $90,000 (DOE)Discretionary bonus opportunityProfit-sharing program401(k) retirement planOpportunity to join a growing residential divisionStrong culture focused on safety, quality, and employee developmentLong-tenured leadership team with mentorship opportunitiesClear paths for advancement and long-term career growthStable project pipeline with an established industry leader
