Position Summary:

The Administrative Assistant for Student Experience will provide support to the Vice President for Student Experience and staff within the Division. The Administrative Assistant for Student Experience will handle, in a prompt and professional manner, highly confidential and sensitive information and will serve as the front-line for inquiries and issues brought to the Vice-President's Office.

Key Responsibilities:

Professionally represent the Student Experience Division to internal and external constituents. n
Coordinates the administrative functions for the Student Experience Office and Student Life Suite and assists with greeting office traffic and answering phone calls. n
Appropriately respond to incoming emergency phone messages for students. This process may involve locating the student and delivering the message directly.xa0 n
Notifying faculty members and the Registrar in cases of student absence for illness, hospitalization, and emergencies. n
Maintain and organize files for all students. n
Allocate credit card information for Student Experience staff. n
Coordinates the flags to welcome our international students -- ensuring they are properly hung and that students from foreign countries have their flags displayed. n
Be attentive and listen to students when they come to the office with an issue and direct them to the appropriate resolution. n
Answer all calls regarding general information about the College in a professional and courteous manner. n
Provide assistance during annual Family Weekend activities by greeting guests and registering parents. n
Coordinate and provide support for various staff members' calendars. n
Maintain and organize the College's identification card system. includes taking pictures of students, faculty, and staff for the card system and printing the appropriate ID card. This also includes dependents of faculty and staff for campus space utilization.xa0 n

Position Description: Culver-Stockton College is seeking a Director of Athletic Bands. This is a full-time position beginning in the fall of 2026 and reports to the Director of Athletics. The successful candidate will serve as director of the "Thrill on the Hill" Marching Band and Pep Band, and work with the Admissions Office to recruit fine arts students. While the position is open to any qualified candidate, preference will be given to candidates that can teach private lessons in either brass or percussion instruments. The Director of Counseling and Wellness Services is a central member of the Student Experience team with primary strategic direction for the areas of providing individual counseling and crisis intervention for students experiencing serious psychological distress. The position also has budget oversight and departmental supervision.

The Director of Counseling and Wellness Services will establish collaborative relationships with the campus community and provide training and consultation on the prevention and identification of mental health problems which may jeopardize students' academic success of compromise the safety and well-being of the campus community. The close-working relationship between and among Culver-Stockton College students, Student Experience staff, faculty, and administrators promotes a work environment in which students are mentored, challenged, and offered a broad spectrum of experiences.xa0

Key Responsibilities:

Responsible for administrative and clinical responsibility for the Counseling and Wellness Center, including managing the operating budget. n
Establish and maintain the policies and procedures for the delivery of mental health and wellness services. n
Provide individual counseling and crisis intervention for students experiencing serious psychological distress.xa0 n
Establish collaborative relationships with the campus community and provide training and consultation on the prevention and identification of mental health problems which may jeopardize students' academic success or compromise the safety and well-being of the campus community.xa0 n
Collaborate with students' families, college faculty and staff, and other providers or relevant parties as appropriate, in cases involving seriously distressed students.xa0 n
Participate in college-wide committees to help support and improve the student experience and retention.xa0 n
Provide referral and consultation services for mental and physical health/wellness needs.xa0 n
Develop and implement outreach programs with an emphasis on topics related to emotional, mental, and physical health and wellness. n
Provide regular campus-wide training and workshops as needed, with an emphasis on educating faculty, staff, and students on making appropriate referrals to the Counseling and Wellness Center. n
Supervise peer counselors and counseling interns. n
Complete all annual programming requirements and collaborate with other staff members on programs.n

30% of the role's time should be focused on program development and execution. n

Develop and maintain emergency protocol manuals. n
Gather data that identifies the problems and risk factors common amongst Culver-Stockton College students, and plan prevention screenings, and intervention programs to address those problems.n

Manage all programs and educational opportunities related to prevention and intervention. n

Work closely with Residential Life and Student Experience staff to identify and intervene with students in need. n
Serve in an on-call rotation to respond as needed to nighttime or weekend emergencies. n
In partnership with the Administrative Assistant, Coordinate and oversee the online form of student health history and immunization record information within HIPPA guidelines. n
Maintain current clinical notes, monthly statistics, and any other necessary clinical forms for reporting purposes. n
Prepare reports as requested by the Vice President for Student Experience or President of the College. n
Participate in programming and events such as new student recruitment open houses, Hilltop Days, new student orientation, residential life staff training, ACE events, etc. n
Maintain affiliations with professional organizations related to college student mental health and wellness.xa0 n
Attends and participates in continuing educational programs designed to keep abreast of changes in the profession. n
Work with appropriate staff members to ensure all billing is processed in a timely and accurate manner.xa0 n

Qualifications:

A master's degree in counseling, clinical psychology, or social work. n
Must have a current counseling license for the State of Missouri. n
3 years of experience in professional counseling. n
Collaborative working ability to maintain harmonious working relationships with members of the college community.xa0 n
Excellent written and oral communication skills. n

The Director of Student Engagement manages all functions in the Office of Student Engagement and contributes as a member of a highly collaborative Student Experience staff. The Student Experience Division comprises all Student Life and Student Success functions at the College.xa0

The Director of Student Engagement is a full-time, optional live-in position that facilitates student engagement including campus activities, student organizations, and fraternity and sorority life, student leadership development programs, and curricular based programming to create a vibrant, active campus life that attracts, enriches, and retains students.
