Pay: $23+ per hour (based on experience)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, occasional Saturdays
️ Hours: 50–60 hours per week
Full‑Time | Year‑Round

Position Overview

Waste Connections is seeking safety‑focused Residential Rear‑Load Garbage Truck Drivers who take pride in hard work, teamwork, and career growth. This is a driver‑to‑driver position that requires both driving and riding on the back of the truck while servicing residential neighborhoods.

Safety is our #1 value. Candidates must be comfortable working in active residential areas, performing physical labor, and following strict safety procedures throughout the route.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate a residential rear‑load garbage truck on assigned routes

• Ride on the back of the truck between stops while servicing residential areas

• Repeatedly climb on and off the truck throughout the shift

• Lift, pull, and empty residential trash containers

• Perform heavy physical labor for the duration of the route

• Safely and courteously interact with customers in residential neighborhoods

• Follow all company safety policies, traffic laws, and route procedures

• Work outdoors in all weather conditions

• Assist driving partner to complete routes safely and efficiently

Job Requirements

• Valid CDL required

• Minimum 2 years of work experience, with a stable work history

• Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly throughout the day

• Able and willing to ride on the back of the truck during residential collections

• Comfortable with frequent climbing on and off the truck

• Willing to work outdoors in heat, cold, rain, and other conditions

• Able to work long shifts (50–60 hours per week)

• Residential Rear‑Load or Front‑Load driving experience is a PLUS
