Residential Care Associate Job Description-2nd shift FLSA Status: This position is considered NON-EXEMPT in relation to the pay provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act. The work schedule is a 'flex schedule' in that it may require work 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift based on the needs of the individuals served by Meadowbrook Manor. If working hours extend beyond normal business hours, compensation will follow wage and hour guidelines established under the Fair Labor Standards Act as identified in Meadowbrook Manor's Personnel Policies and Procedures. Reports To: Residential Care Facility Manager Responsibilities: - Engage and complete all assigned shift duties
- Ensure the safety and security of all residents and fellow staff remain a priority while within the facility
- Monitor resident behavior and report any unusual changes or concerns
- Complete any projects, tasks, or assignments as directed by your Manager
- Ensure all cleaning and sanitization duties are completed per shift assigned (which may include):
- Sweeping
- Mopping
- Dusting
- Linen Changes
- Clothes Washing
- Vacuuming
- Organizing
- Stocking of Goods
- Engage in proper medication administering (once certification has been obtained)
- Complete medication documentation accurately and completely
- Complete any required shift logs accurately and completely
- Provide clear and accurate pass-down to oncoming staff / post shift relief updates
- Communicate with physicians, medical personnel, nurses (as needed) pertaining to medication administering and medical appointments for residents
- Assist residents with community outings and transportation arrangements as needed
- Assist kitchen personnel with meal serving, setup, and breakdown
- Report any resident or staff related incidents immediately to your Manager
- Responsible for accurate timekeeping and use of our time and labor system for shift reporting
- Report any facility maintenance concerns (as they may be noticed on your shift) directly to your Manager
- Perform other duties as directed/required
