Position Summary

As a Merry Maids team member, you will professionally clean customer homes using Merry Maids' cleaning procedures, products, and equipment. You will work as part of a team to provide consistent, high-quality cleaning and excellent customer service.

This is an active, hands-on job. The right person will be dependable, on time, respectful with customers and coworkers, and able to follow written and verbal instructions.

Important Requirements

Applicants must be able to communicate clearly with customers, team members, and the office. Spanish is helpful and strongly welcomed, but English communication is preferred for this position because team members may need to speak directly with customers, understand service notes, report issues, and follow job instructions. Spanish speakers are still encouraged to apply.

Applicants must also have a valid driver's license and be able to drive to and from customer homes as needed. Access to a reliable personal vehicle is strongly preferred. Company vehicles may be available at times, but are limited. If a personal vehicle is used for approved work travel, mileage reimbursement will be provided in accordance with company policy and applicable law.

Responsibilities

• Use Merry Maids cleaning products and procedures to clean customer homes
• Use provided equipment, including vacuums, microfiber cloths, mops, and cleaning supplies
• Clean kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms, living areas, and other areas of the home
• Clean surfaces such as counters, sinks, toilets, showers, tubs, mirrors, cabinets, baseboards, light fixtures, windowsills, and floors
• Dust furniture, remove cobwebs, and clean reachable surfaces
• Vacuum carpets, stairs, rugs, hard surface floors, and upholstered furniture
• Sweep, mop, and clean hard surface floors, including bathroom and kitchen floors
• Move reasonably moveable furniture and items to clean under and behind them
• Carry cleaning products and equipment to and from the office, vehicle, and customer homes
• Follow customized cleaning instructions and service notes
• Help keep supplies stocked and equipment maintained
• Contribute to a positive work environment by being in uniform, dependable, respectful, and on time
• Communicate professionally with customers, coworkers, and the office
• Perform other reasonable related duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate clearly
• English and Spanish language skills are a plus
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Valid driver's license
• Ability to drive to and from various job sites as needed
• Reliable transportation; personal vehicle strongly preferred
• Ability to read and follow cleaning instructions
• Ability to learn Merry Maids cleaning products, procedures, and quality standards
• Ability to work well with a team and independently when needed
• Ability to pass required background and motor vehicle record checks
• Prior residential cleaning experience is helpful, but not required

Physical Requirements

This position requires regular physical activity throughout the day. Team members must be able to lift and carry up to 20 pounds of equipment, load and unload supplies from vehicles, climb stairs, bend, kneel, reach, stoop, vacuum, mop, and clean bathrooms, kitchens, floors, showers, tubs, and other areas of the home. Team members may clean several homes in one day.

Team members must also be comfortable working around common household conditions, including dog and cat hair, dust, mildew, mold, and cleaning solutions.
