For more than 40 years, Airtron Heating & Air Conditioning has kept homeowners comfortable with reliable heating and cooling solutions, honest advice, and quality workmanship. We’re growing our Louisville team and seeking a Residential HVAC Field Service Specialist who takes pride in craftsmanship, supports teammates, and delivers an outstanding customer experience on every call.
A day in this role
You’ll start your morning with your schedule coordinated by the office, stock your vehicle with needed parts, and head into the field. From troubleshooting a no-cool call to performing seasonal maintenance, you diagnose issues, make sound recommendations, and complete precise repairs. You’ll perform start-ups and document test results when needed, communicate clearly with dispatch and customers, and leave each home spotless—floor savers on, tools organized, and the system running right.
How you’ll contribute
Service, maintain, and repair residential heating and air conditioning equipment to manufacturer and company standards.
Inspect ductwork and ensure company tools/materials remain in safe, serviceable condition.
Identify components, wire controls, and commission complete residential systems.
Systematically diagnose issues; recommend solutions and complete repairs to restore optimal operation.
Perform equipment start-ups; test and record performance data to verify proper functionality.
Conduct thorough system checks and proactively communicate outstanding concerns to dispatch/customers.
Explain findings, services performed, and next steps in clear, customer-friendly language.
Coordinate daily routing and updates directly with the office/dispatch team.
Order required parts in advance and ensure you’re fully prepared for each appointment.
Transport parts, materials, and tools to job sites and accurately account for assigned inventory.
Complete all digital paperwork/tablet entries accurately and on time.
Debrief each service visit with dispatch/customers and capture all required documentation.
Leave work areas clean; maintain a neat, organized service vehicle inside and out.
Uphold company performance standards, ethics, safety policies, and a courteous demeanor.
Use protective floor savers on footwear in every customer home.
Follow all safety procedures and perform other duties as assigned.
