Residential HVAC Install Assistant

2nd Wind Heating and Air is hiring a ResidentialHVAC Install Assistant to support residential and light commercial installation projects in the Columbia, SC area. This role is ideal for someone who is dependable, eager to learn the trade, and takes pride in quality work.

What You’ll Do 

• Assist with residential and light commercial HVAC installations 

• Support lead installers with equipment setup, material handling, and jobsite prep 

• Help install furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, ductwork, and related components 

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized job site 

• Load and unload tools, equipment, and materials 

• Follow safety procedures and company installation standards 

• Represent 2nd Wind with professionalism and a positive attitude 

What We’re Looking For 

• Interest in learning the HVAC trade (prior experience a plus, not required) 

• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn 

• Ability to lift 50+ lbs. and work in attics, crawlspaces, rooftops, and outdoor conditions 

• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation 

• Strong work ethic, dependability, and team-first mindset 

• Ability to follow instructions and work well with others
