Degree Heating & Cooling is seeking a seasoned, licensed installer to guide residential and light commercial projects from plan review to startup. As the working foreman on site, you’ll set the pace, coach apprentices, and deliver clean, code-compliant installations our customers rave about.

A day in your boots

You roll in, sync with your crew, and review plans on your tablet. Truck stock is organized, tools are ready, and the day’s scope is clear. On site, you lead the install, solve surprises with calm precision, speak with homeowners professionally, complete system startups, and calibrate to manufacturer specifications. Before you leave, documentation is buttoned up and the crew knows tomorrow’s game plan.

What you’ll tackle

• Lead residential and light commercial HVAC installations
• Train and mentor apprentice installers
• Troubleshoot and resolve installation issues on-site
• Ensure jobs are completed safely, efficiently, and correctly
• Communicate professionally with homeowners and customers
• Maintain truck stock, tools, and job documentation
• Perform system startups and calibrations to manufacturer standards

What you bring

• Connecticut HVAC License (S-2, D-2, or equivalent)
• 3+ years of HVAC installation experience preferred
• Proven leadership and clear communication skills
• Ability to read blueprints and installation plans
• Comfort using tablets/apps for work orders and notes
• Valid driver’s license
• Team-first mindset and pride in craftsmanship

Compensation

Pay depends on experience; $40/hour and up, plus SPIFFs and bonuses. Top technicians earn over $100,000 per year.
