You’ll work under the guidance of our HVAC Service Supervisor and in coordination with Operations to ensure every system is serviced correctly.
Your mission
- Service, maintain, and repair residential HVAC systems with quality and care.
- Inspect ducting and keep company tools and materials in service-ready condition.
- Wire, commission, and start up complete residential systems.
- Diagnose issues, recommend options, and complete effective repairs to restore performance.
- Execute start-up testing and record results to verify proper operation.
- Perform thorough system inspections and communicate any concerns to dispatch/customers.
- Translate technical findings into clear explanations for homeowners and dispatch.
- Coordinate your daily schedule directly with the office team.
- Order parts ahead of time to ensure you’re ready for each appointment.
- Transport and accurately account for parts, materials, and tools.
- Complete tablet-based documentation neatly and promptly.
- Debrief each call with dispatch and ensure all work is properly documented.
- Maintain a clean job site and perform a final area check before leaving.
- Keep your company vehicle organized and clean, inside and out.
- Live our standards of performance and code of ethics.
- Provide courteous, professional service to customers and teammates.
- Wear protective shoe covers while inside customer homes.
- Always follow safety policies and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.
What you bring
- High school diploma or GED.
- At least 1 year of HVAC service experience.
- EPA Certification.
- Solid soldering/brazing skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication.
- Ability to effectively communicate in English, both spoken and written.
- Beginner computing skills; comfortable using a computer, laptop, or tablet.
- Basic internet and email proficiency (Microsoft Outlook or similar).
- Valid driver’s license.
- Flexibility to work overtime with short notice; occasional weekends.
Preferred
- HVAC trade school certification.
- 1–2 years of experience in construction, HVAC, or related trades.

Working conditions
- Majority of time spent at occupied homes and residential construction sites; minimal office work.
- Travel by vehicle between work locations.
- Regular exposure to construction settings: equipment, heights, confined spaces, noise, dust, odors, and hazardous materials.
- Work indoors and outdoors across all weather conditions (heat, rain, cold, wind) with appropriate PPE.
Physical requirements
- Operate a motorized passenger vehicle or forklift.
- Frequently lift/move up to 50 lbs.
- Regularly climb, bend, crawl, kneel, and crouch.
- Work at heights; climb ladders and stairs; occasional work on platforms/scaffolding with fall protection.
- Wear required PPE: hard hat, safety glasses, ear plugs, masks/respirators, reflective vests, gloves, and safety-toe, construction-grade boots.
- Stand, walk, or sit for extended periods.
- Hear and distinguish speech/sounds to safely operate phones and equipment.
- Vision capable of close, distance, and peripheral focus with normal depth perception (with or without correction).
- Clearly express information verbally.
- Enter data via handheld or computer using a standard keyboard or 10-key.
- Reach overhead; signal; grasp; hold; lift; turn; push; and pull tools and materials.
