What You'll Do
As a Residential HVAC Service Technician, you will diagnose, service, maintain, and repair residential heating and cooling equipment throughout the Greater Hartford area.
Responsibilities include:
- Diagnose residential heating and cooling system problems
- Service and repair furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and air handlers
- Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical system issues
- Perform refrigeration diagnostics and repairs
- Identify and correct airflow and comfort problems
- Diagnose thermostats, controls, and related components
- Complete preventive maintenance and system evaluations
- Explain findings and repair options clearly to homeowners
- Provide accurate documentation for completed service calls
- Maintain a professional and customer-focused approach in the field
We believe good technicians should be trusted to diagnose the problem, educate the homeowner, and recommend the right solution. This is not a high-pressure sales environment.
What You Need
Required Qualifications:
- Active Connecticut S-2 Unlimited Heating, Piping & Cooling Journeyperson License
- EPA Section 608 certification
- Previous residential HVAC service experience
- Strong HVAC troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- Experience servicing heating and air-conditioning equipment
- Knowledge of heat pumps, controls, electrical systems, airflow, and refrigeration
- Ability to work independently in a residential service environment
- Strong customer communication skills
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
Additional Experience We Value

- EPA Universal Certification
- NATE Certification
- Cold-climate heat pumps

- OSHA training
- High-efficiency heating and cooling equipment
- Coaching or mentoring apprentice-level technicians
