James A. Wheat & Sons is looking for a skilled HVAC Technician to join our team, providing heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration solutions in Montgomery County and Washington DC. This role involves maintaining residential systems for optimal performance and requires strong technical skills and problem-solving abilities. Responsibilities
Install, maintain, and repair HVAC systems in residential settings.
Diagnose and troubleshoot HVAC equipment malfunctions.
Perform routine maintenance on HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance.
Respond to service calls and provide timely and effective solutions to customer issues.
Educate customers on system operation and maintenance best practices.
Keep detailed records of work performed and parts used on service calls.
Assist in training and mentoring junior technicians as needed.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in HVAC preferred.
Valid HVAC Journeyman or Masters license and certifications as required by local regulations.
Strong understanding of HVAC systems and components.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Due to insurance requirements, applicants must have a valid driver’s license and acceptable motor vehicle record.
