Summary:
As a Front Desk Employee within Residential Life, individuals in this role will play a key part in fostering a safe, welcoming, and supportive environment within the residence halls. This position involves serving as the first point of contact for residents and guests, supporting the day-to-day operations of Residential Life. This role requires strong interpersonal skills, dependability, and a commitment to excellent customer service. Specific tasks include welcoming and assisting students, monitoring security cameras, managing community resources (e.g., check-in/out of equipment), and handling administrative duties. Students will gain valuable experience in customer service, safety and security monitoring, problem-solving, and teamwork while contributing to the overall safety, efficiency, and sense of community within Residential Life.
Job Responsibilities:
Welcome and assisting students, residents, and guests while providing excellent customer service.
Maintaining a safe and inviting front desk environment by monitoring activity and reporting concerns to Residential Life staff
Managing the check-in and check-out of community resources (e.g., sports equipment, board games, cleaning supplies)
Monitoring residential hall security cameras and responding appropriately to issues
Addressing resident questions and concerns with professionalism, discretion, and care
Assisting Residential Life staff with administrative tasks and other duties as assigned
