The role includes meeting new residents at admission, providing compassionate support, guiding goal‑setting, engaging in one‑to‑one conversations, facilitating peer groups, and participating in crisis de‑escalation training. The position falls under the AFSCME bargaining unit.Work ScheduleMonday through Friday, 1:00pm - 5:00pm (Part Time, Day)Pay$24.64–$26.15 per hour, DOE/Credentials, plus additional 5% language differential for bilingual or multilingual candidates.What You'll NeedPersonal experience with mental health challengesCertified and registered as a Peer Support Specialist (PSS) or Peer Wellness Specialist (PWS) through the Oregon Health Authority (OHA)Valid driver's license and a safe driving record (Driving is an essential function)Physical RequirementsRequires frequent talking, listening, use of hands and fingers, reaching, standing, walking, sitting, bending, stooping, climbing stairs, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling up to 40 pounds, occasional ladder use, squatting/kneeling, and completion of crisis de‑escalation and CPR trainings.About the ProgramBell Cove is a co‑ed, 5‑bed Residential Treatment Home serving adults with mental illness.
