The Role (Your Day-to-Day)
This is a hands-on residential plumbing role where your skill, judgment, and professionalism matter.
You arrive on-site—a leak, a failure, or a system issue—and the homeowner is counting on you.
You:
- Diagnose the problem using proper tools and testing methods
- Identify the root cause—not just the symptom
- Repair or replace components to code and standard
You don’t just fix the issue—you walk the customer through what’s happening, explain the solution clearly, and help them move forward with confidence.
You’ll also:
- Price jobs using a flat-rate system and collect payment
- Document all work, materials, and findings accurately
- Stay connected with dispatch and your team
Bottom line: Solve the problem, deliver quality work, and earn the customer’s trust.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
- Install, inspect, maintain, repair, and replace residential plumbing systems
- Diagnose issues using tools, testing equipment, and technical expertise
- Disassemble, repair, and reassemble plumbing components and systems
- Perform preventative maintenance and system checks
- Ensure all work meets code, safety standards, and company guidelines
- Read blueprints to determine system layout and requirements
- Calculate job pricing using flat-rate system and handle payment collection
- Document all work performed, materials used, and system conditions
- Communicate clearly with customers, dispatch, and team members
- Respond to service calls and manage workflow efficiently
- Follow all safety protocols and contribute to a safety-first culture
What Makes You a Fit
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Trade school (completed or in progress per state requirements)
- 2–3+ years of residential plumbing experience (preferred)
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Familiar with local and national plumbing codes
- Ability to read blueprints and technical diagrams
- Strong communication and customer interaction skills
- Valid driver’s license
- Physically capable of lifting up to 75 lbs and working in all conditions
- Authorized to work in the U.S.
