Residential Real Estate Agent – Break Into Commercial & Investment Real Estate

Summary

J. Elkon Realty is seeking a motivated, ambitious Real Estate Agent who wants to expand beyond traditional residential sales and build expertise in commercial and investment real estate.

This is an opportunity for a residential agent who wants to grow their skill set, expand their professional network, work with investors and business owners, and increase their earning potential.

You will have access to coaching, training, technology, marketing, administrative support, and the opportunity to learn alongside an experienced brokerage with a strong focus on both residential and commercial real estate.

We're looking for someone who is personable, professional, coachable, and genuinely interested in building a long-term career in real estate.

This is a 100% commission-based position. There is no guaranteed salary or hourly wage. Earnings are based on individual production and performance.

Responsibilities

• Generate new business through prospecting, networking, referrals, social media, and relationship building
• Develop relationships with residential clients, investors, business owners, builders, and other real estate professionals
• Learn to identify and evaluate residential investment and commercial real estate opportunities
• Conduct buyer, seller, investor, and leasing consultations
• Provide clients with thoughtful property research and written feedback
• Follow up consistently with leads, prospects, past clients, and referral partners
• Assist clients in identifying properties that align with their goals and investment criteria
• Participate in negotiations and transaction management
• Maintain accurate client and prospect information in the CRM
• Complete required Agent Launch Training and ongoing professional development
• Participate in weekly training, coaching, script practice, and team activities
• Dedicate consistent time each week to lead generation and business development
• Track daily and weekly activities and work toward measurable production goals
• Build and maintain a professional personal brand
• Continuously develop your knowledge of commercial, investment, and residential real estate

Qualifications

• Active New Jersey real estate salesperson license
• Minimum 2 years of real estate sales experience
• Genuine interest in learning commercial and investment real estate
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Comfortable speaking with clients, investors, business owners, and professionals
• Self-motivated, ambitious, and goal-oriented
• Coachable and willing to learn and implement proven systems
• Comfortable with prospecting, outbound calls, networking, and follow-up
• Strong work ethic and personal accountability
• Professional, positive, and dependable
• Able to analyze client needs and identify appropriate real estate opportunities
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team
• Desire to build a long-term career in real estate
