    Description

    Role Overview

    The Residental Security Consultant is responsible for new customer acquisition, following up on sales leads, and closing sales for new Installation projects.  This includes identifying customer needs, job cost estimation/proposals, managing customer relationships, performing jobsite walkthroughs, and ensuring customer satisfaction. 

    Key Responsibilities

    • Compile and maintain customer/prospect records, sales data, leads data, and completed tasks into Customer Relationship Management (CRM) program.  
    • Identify prospective customers using directories, networking leads, referrals, and other leads. 
    • Participate in networking through membership in organizations (e.g. BNI, Chambers of Commerce, etc.) to identify prospect customers and generate leads. 
    • Identify prospective residential leads by some door-to-door sales. 
    • Schedule appointments with prospective customers.  
    • Meet with customers to collect customer data, evaluate needs, and recommend products/services. 
    • Complete expense reports. 
    • Prepare and submit sales contracts and related transactions for orders. 
    • Work with installation/service team and customer service team to process sales and work orders.  
    • Work with Project Coordinator to schedule installations.  
    • Assist Division Manager with gathering installation data, such as room dimensions and distances, obtaining building blueprints, etc. 
    • Monitor project statuses, ensure all project steps have been completed and documented, and ensure necessary parties stay informed of deadlines, updates, changes, progress, and customer feedback.  
    • Track and document resources, milestones, and deliverables.  
    • Review project budgets and identify variances.  
    • Provide ongoing customer support to foster customer retention, loyalty, referrals, and continued business. 
    • Educate customers on product/service capabilities, design, technical features, and benefits.  
    • Prepare sales presentations and/or proposals to explain products/services, applications, and/or specifications (via iPad/app, video presentations, formal slide presentations, and/or physical product demonstration).  
    • Answer customer questions about products/services, prices, availability, and options, and escalate technical inquiries. 

    Qualifications

    • 2+ years' demonstrated success in Sales position. 
    • Electronic Security Systems or Tech Industry strongly preferred. 
    • Knowledge/understanding of electronics very helpful.  
    • Excellent sales skills. 
    • Excellent relationship building and customer service skills. 
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
    • Excellent presentation and demonstration skills. 
    • Time management and scheduling skills. 
    • Must have a valid Driver's License and satisfactory driving record in accordance with company policy.
