    • A spiff is available that essentially serves as a per diem/gas payment for the vehicle.

    • Employees receive a personal PIN for purchases. Occasional snacks, coffee, and drinks may also be permitted.

  • In-house training focused on HomeOps service standards, customer communication, electrical safety, and field execution

  • Report to the Port Jefferson Station, NY office for training, service truck pickup, and daily dispatch before servicing customers throughout Suffolk County and surrounding communities

Your New Role

  • Run residential electrical service calls from our Port Jefferson Station, NY location throughout Suffolk County and surrounding communities

    • Service area is Long Island. Average travel distance is approximately 12 miles from the location to job sites and occasionally reaches up to 68 miles, though this is rare. Candidates must live in Suffolk County.

  • Independently troubleshoot and diagnose residential electrical systems, including panels, meter equipment, wiring, breakers, outlets, switches, lighting, and service upgrades

  • Perform electrical repairs, installations, upgrades, and replacements safely and efficiently

  • Evaluate electrical systems for safety issues, deficiencies, and opportunities for improvement

  • Clearly explain electrical problems and recommended solutions to homeowners

  • Present repair, replacement, upgrade, and electrical safety options with confidence and professionalism

  • Discuss pricing and available solutions directly with homeowners in a consultative service environment

  • Turn strong electrical diagnostics into completed residential service work while maintaining quality standards

  • Build trust with customers through clear communication, professionalism, and genuine attention to their needs

  • Complete accurate job documentation and use company technology and field service systems effectively

  • Maintain an organized service vehicle, tools, materials, work area, and professional appearance

  • Follow all applicable electrical codes, National Electrical Code (NEC) requirements, and company safety procedures

  • Proven residential electrical service experience with the ability to independently run service calls

  • Panel upgrade experience

  • Strong hands-on electrical troubleshooting and diagnostic ability

  • Working knowledge of residential wiring methods, conductor sizing, breaker sizing, panels, circuits, and electrical safety

  • Experience repairing, replacing, and upgrading electrical panels, wiring, lighting, outlets, switches, breakers, and residential electrical services

  • Ability to evaluate a residential electrical problem and determine a safe, code-compliant solution

  • Ability to communicate electrical findings and recommendations clearly to homeowners

  • Confidence discussing repair options, pricing, upgrades, and replacement solutions in a residential service environment

  • Consultative sales ability with a focus on solving customer problems rather than applying high-pressure tactics

  • Ability to work independently, manage assigned calls, and maintain strong productivity and workmanship standards

  • Strong customer service and communication skills

  • Ability to complete a practical electrical knowledge and troubleshooting assessment as part of the hiring process

  • Commitment to electrical safety, quality workmanship, and NEC compliance

  • Valid driver's license
