Day in the Life
You start your morning reviewing the day’s scope, safety considerations, and materials. On site, you set up a clean, organized workspace and confirm details with the homeowner. You execute structural repairs and home improvement tasks with precision—maintaining craftsmanship standards, adapting to changing site conditions, and coordinating with teammates and other departments to stay on schedule. Throughout the day, you communicate clearly with homeowners, answer questions, and ensure the project is progressing safely and efficiently. Before you leave, you verify quality, document progress, and leave the job site spotless.
Core Responsibilities
- Perform structural repairs and residential construction projects with a high standard of quality and craftsmanship.
- Work independently to complete assigned work safely, efficiently, and professionally.
- Communicate directly with homeowners to explain work and address questions courteously.
- Assess site conditions and adjust priorities while upholding quality benchmarks.
- Collaborate with teammates and other departments to deliver on time and to spec.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site.
- Represent Total Home Performance with professionalism, integrity, and a customer-first mindset.
Qualifications
- Preferred: 3 years of demonstrated construction, carpentry, or skilled labor experience.
- Strong knowledge of residential construction methods and structural repair techniques.
- Proven ability to work independently and as a dependable member of a collaborative team.
- Versatile skill set with flexibility across varied construction and repair tasks.
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
- Capacity to lift, carry, and move materials/equipment in indoor and outdoor environments.
