Residential Substitute Teaching openings could be at either of our schools: LaVerne Elementary Preparatory Academy in Hesperia (TK-8th grade) or Desert Trails Preparatory Academy in Adelanto (TK-6th grade). Both schools are independent charter schools. Residential Substitutes report every day to campus. When a teacher is out, the Residential Substitute will be placed in that classroom. When all teachers are on staff, the Residential Substitute will provide extra support in various classrooms. During this time, Residential Substitutes could be working with 1 scholar or a small group while the teacher works with the class. Residential Substitutes may also be requested to teach the whole class while the teacher works with 1 scholar or a small group. All work will be scholar-centered.

We are two passion driven campuses located in the High Desert that believe every child can learn. We are looking for individuals that are dedicated, determined, and passionate about helping every child reach their full potential.
Residential Substitute Teaching openings could be at either one of our schools, LaVerne Elementary Preparatory Academy located in Hesperia or Desert Trails Preparatory Academy in Adelanto. Both school campuses have Transitional Kindergarten - 6th grade with 3 teachers per grade level and are independent charter schools.
Residential Substitutes report every day to campus. When a teacher is out, the Residential Substitute will be placed in that classroom. When all teachers are on staff the Residential Substitute will float between classrooms based on teachers signing up for extra support. During this time, Residential Substitutes could be working with 1 scholar or a small group while the teacher works with the class. Residential Substitutes may also be requested to teach the whole class while the teacher works with 1 scholar or a small group. All work will be scholar centered.
Must possess or a Substitute Permit. Completed application, 3 letters of reference within the last 2 years, copy of appropriate credential.

BA Degree from an accredited college or university CA Emergency Substitute Permit Credential (30-day Substitute Teaching Permit) Completed application Copy of appropriate credential.
3 letters of recommendation within the last 2 years Current Resume TB Results DOJ Fingerprinting required
