Job Summary
The Residential Supervisor will utilize best practices within a community based residential setting to support DSPs in teaching individuals with developmental and physical disabilities how to acquire the physical, intellectual, emotional, and social skills needed to live as independently as possible. The Residential Supervisor performs all duties as necessary to meet state-approved objectives and requirements and maintains a high-quality program in accordance with the State and ICLP standards, policies, and mission. The ideal candidate has an understanding of state regulations and credentialing, excellent organizational skills, and strong attention to detail. 

Responsibilities 
  • Supervises and oversees the Direct Support Professionals in the residential setting.
  • Assists individuals with Activities of Daily Living and development of independent living skills.
  • Attends medical/psychiatric appointments, team meetings, monitoring, and any other required meeting or training.
  • Ensures that all staff are properly trained on each individual’s ISP.
  • Completes daily MAR reviews to ensure that all medications are administered and documented properly. Ensuring that medications are present in the homes and cycle fills are picked up in a timely manner.
  • Completes resident menus and food shopping, ensuring that there is always adequate supply of healthy food in the homes.
  • Conduct monthly supervision with DSP’s and attend administrative meetings as needed.
     
    Qualifications
  • High School diploma or Associate degree with 5 years' work experience as a DSP
  • BS with 2 years' experience as a Direct Support Staff.
  • Knowledge of credentialing and licensing within the state desired
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong organizational skills
  • The ability to multitask, and work well independently
