Program Overview

The Adult Residential Service Program offers a continuum of affordable housing for the acutely and chronically mentally ill with supervised residences. Our purpose is to help those suffering from severe mental illness avoid psychiatric hospitalization and to assure safety and promote personal growth.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

The Residential Supervisor directly oversees a team of 4 or more Residential Counselors. The Residential Supervisor is responsible for providing regular supervision, performance evaluations, coaching, and professional development to ensure high-quality, consistent services are delivered to residents.

Job Overview

The Residential Supervisor provide leadership in culturally competent service delivery. Facilitate skills training and daily living responsibilities. Uphold ethical standards in accordance with the Social Work Code of Ethics. Effectively engage all client populations. Work closely with the residential nurse and director in the implementation of adult individualized rehabilitation treatment goals. Collaborate with Acenda team members and external supports to enhance independence.

The Residential Supervisor provides leadership and oversight for residential staff and operations, ensuring high-quality services are delivered to residents in a safe, supportive, and recovery-oriented environment. The Residential Supervisor is responsible for staff supervision, training, and performance evaluation, as well as ensuring compliance with agency, state, and regulatory standards. This role oversees clinical and administrative documentation, facilitates communication between staff and leadership, and ensures that residents' treatment goals are supported through structured programming, and continuity of care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide regular supervision to all direct reports, including performance evaluations and professional development support.
  • Ensure staff attendance at all meetings and trainings.
  • Oversee scheduling to ensure adequate program coverage.
  • Offer timely feedback and corrective action when necessary, modeling professionalism and adherence to agency standards.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for staff concerns, including participation in on-call coverage to provide after-hours guidance and support.
  • Review and ensure completion of treatment plans, assessments, and all other documentation in accordance with agency and regulatory standards.
  • Attend and contribute to all agency and program meetings as assigned.
  • Promote a trauma-informed, person-centered approach across all program services.
  • Review and submit all required reports and documentation.
  • Maintain compliance with financial and operational standards.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with nursing, care managers, and the Program Director to support consistent care.
  • Ensure resident safety through direct oversight of staff practices and program routines.
  • Support staff in promoting independent living skills and community reintegration for residents.
  • Conduct walkthroughs of homes to ensure cleanliness, safety, and program compliance.
  • Uphold resident confidentiality at all times and perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Psychology, or related field (preferred); or equivalent combination of education and supervisory experience.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in a residential, behavioral health, or community-based setting.
  • Prior supervisory or leadership experience required.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record (required).
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment, independent thinking, and effective decision-making
