What do Residential Support Professionals do at On With Life?
The Residential Support Professional provides direct support to individuals living in our 5-bedroom Residential Neuro Rehabilitation residential setting. In collaboration with the Residential Support Team Lead and Assistance Lead, this position:
- Creates, monitors, and implements individualized treatment plans to help persons served achieve their goals and return to a more independent living setting.
- Works with person served to address life skills (e.g., meal planning, budgeting, community access, activities of daily living, etc.) and manage neurobehavioral and or neurocognitive challenges (e.g., identifying barriers, challenges, self-management strategies).
We provide annual raises based on budget capacity, and full-time positions also have the opportunity for a discretionary bonus at each anniversary.

Qualified candidates must have:
- An Iowa Class D3 Chauffeurs license or ability to obtain a Chauffeurs license and drive on behalf of On With Life.
- Ability to maintain CPR certification with training provided if certification is not current.
- Ability to obtain Certified Brain Injury Specialist (CBIS) certification, paid for by On With Life including annual continuing education to maintain the certification.
- Ability to obtain Medication Manager certification; On With Life will pay for this one-time certification.
- Prior experience working in a direct care position with basic knowledge related to neurobehavioral and neurocognitive challenges related to brain injuries or other disabilities.
- Appropriate communication skills to collaborate and problem solve within a team environment.
- Is comfortable working with computers and electronic records.
