OVERVIEW:

Reporting to the Quality Manager, the Resin Waste Technician is responsible for supporting manufacturing operations by performing duties that assist the cross-functional Houston team. This role works closely with the Quality Department, Production Teams, and other personnel to ensure the safe and efficient handling of resin waste materials while supporting operational and quality objectives.

As a member of the team, the Resin Waste Technician plays a key role in maintaining a safe, collaborative, and efficient work environment by following all health and safety procedures and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collect, transport, and dispose of waste materials safely and efficiently.
  • Operate forklifts, compactors, and other material-handling equipment as required.
  • Monitor waste containers and maintain accurate waste tracking records.
  • Follow all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain cleanliness of work areas and waste storage locations.
  • Report equipment issues, spills, or safety concerns promptly.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts related to waste reduction and recycling programs.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent Experience
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in manufacturing, chemical processing, plastics, recycling, waste management, or industrial environment.
  • Experience handling raw materials, waste products, or hazardous/non-hazardous materials preferred.
  • Familiarity with safety procedures, PPE requirements, and environmental compliance standards.
