Daily responsibilities include maintaining and cleaning all tools, grinders, and application equipment while adhering to safety protocols, including personal protective equipment (PPE), ventilation measures, and proper chemical handling. Effective communication with the Lead Installer and team members is crucial, as you represent CAP Concrete Coatings professionally on every job site. Your technical skills will be put to use as you apply trowel-based polyurea base coats to Penntek specifications, broadcast acrylic flake systems, and apply polyaspartic topcoats using rollers and squeegees.

Accuracy in mixing multi-component resinous materials is essential, as is maintaining consistent application thickness while efficiently working within the cure windows of fast-set materials.

Requirements for this Resinous Flooring Installer job

To thrive as a Full Time Resinous Flooring Installer at CAP Concrete Coatings, you'll need a solid foundation of skills and experience. A minimum of one year in resinous concrete coating installation, particularly with polyurea, epoxy, or polyaspartic systems, is essential. Proficiency in operating Lavina grinders or equivalent planetary concrete grinders, as well as experience with shot blasting equipment, is critical for successful surface preparation. Attention to detail is key, requiring familiarity with trowel-applied coatings and an understanding of concrete surface preparation standards (CSP profiles). The role demands physical stamina, as you must be able to lift and carry 75 lbs regularly and work on your hands and knees for extended periods.

Additionally, a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and a willingness to work flexible hours are necessary. Adequate safety awareness is required due to exposure to dust, chemical vapors, and noise while completing tasks both indoors and outdoors.

Knowledge and skills required for the position are:

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in resinous concrete coating installation (polyurea, epoxy polyaspartic or similar systems)
  • Demonstrated experience operating Lavina grinders or equivalent planetary concrete grinders
  • Experience with trowel-applied coatings on concrete substrates
  • Understanding of concrete surface preparation standards (CSP profiles)
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Willingness to work occasional weekends and evenings as project schedules require
  • Willingness to travel to job sites up to 2 hours from Vancouver WA
