Description

JOB DUTIES:
• Implement physician orders, administer medications, start IVs, perform treatments, procedures, and special tests, and document treatment as required by company policy and local/state/federal rules and regulations
• Effectively communicate with providers regarding patient lab and diagnostic reports, condition, progress, and treatment options
• Assure diagnostic tests ordered or prescribed by the provider are completed promptly
• Assess and evaluate patient needs for, and responses to, care rendered
• Apply sound nursing judgment in patient care management decisions
• Provide primary and emergency care for occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses
• Administer IV and non-IV medications as ordered
• Collaborate with the nursing team to create a Plan of Care for all patients
• Direct and guide ancillary personnel and maintain standards of professional nursing
• Maintain confidentiality of all information according to HIPAA and company policy

The Registered Nurse (RN) assumes other responsibilities as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
• Analytical ability to apply criteria and evaluate information to make decisions
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, and excellent interpersonal skills with patients, medical staff, and the public
• Detail-oriented with proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, and excellent interpersonal skills
• Accurate clinical assessment skills regarding patient medical conditions
• Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, physicians, and hospital staff
• Computer skills, including MS Office, Outlook, and Meditech, preferred
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals
• Ability to move, position self, consistently operate various types of equipment, able to detect/observe/identify details at close or distant range with or without accommodations, as well as exerting 50 to 100 pounds occasionally, or 10 to 25 pounds constantly

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing, required
• Current Registered Nurse licensure with the State of Kansas, required
• Credentials required per CRMC policy, state, and regulatory requirements for the unit assigned
• Clinical experience in the area of work, preferred
