Job Summary
Reporting to the Principal, the Resource Specialist Teacher designs and delivers individualized instruction for students by assessing academic, social-emotional, and transition needs and using data to guide instruction, behavior supports, and IEP goals. Implements diverse instructional strategies and intervention programs to meet varied learner needs while promoting engagement, independence, and critical thinking. Maintains a safe, structured, and respectful learning environment through consistent behavior management, close supervision, and proactive de-escalation practices. Collaborates with general education teachers and outside agencies to support students with disabilities (SWD). Ensures accurate, timely documentation and participates professionally as a team member while modeling positive behavior and communication.
