Job Title: Respiratory Therapist Pulmonary (Travel)

Location: Libertyville, IL

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Respiratory Therapist to join a high-acuity pulmonary team. The ideal candidate must be skilled in treating patients across the full lifespan, including pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics, and be comfortable working in a fast-paced, critical care environment.

Must-Have Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of Respiratory Therapy experience (peds, adults, geriatrics)
• Active Illinois (IL) License
• Required Certifications ( AHA):
  • BLS
  • ACLS
  • PALS
  • NRP
  • RRT (preferred) or CRT accepted
• EPIC charting experience (mandatory)

Technical Skills Required

• Tracheostomy care (Trachs)
• Nitrous oxide procedures
• Proning techniques
• ECMO experience
• Critical care experience
• Ventilator-associated care/prevention
• Spontaneous Breathing Trials (SBTs)
• Arterial Blood Gas (ABG) draws

Unit & Patient Information

• Patient population: Neonates to geriatrics
• Patient Ratio: 1:1
• COVID & PPE: Adequate supply, N95 available

Equipment & Charting

• Charting System: EPIC
• Ventilators: PB840, PB980, Servo-U, Hamilton
• CPAP/BiPAP: V60s, ResMed, RemStar
• Optiflow
• Transport vents: Hamilton

Assignment Details

• Shift: 12-hour shifts
• Weekend Rotation: Every other weekend
• On-Call: Not required
• Holidays: As per unit needs
• Floating: Possible within the health system

Orientation

• 1 day unit orientation
