    • JOB SUMMARY AND SPECIFICATIONS
      • JOB SUMMARY
        • Provides limited respiratory treatment, diagnostics and therapy under the direct supervision ofa credentialed respiratory care practitioner. Student practitioners are under medical and technical supervision.

          Key Responsibilities:

          · Setting up and calibrating equipment

          · Observing and recording patient signs and status during treatment

          · Assisting with respiratory treatment under supervision of Respiratory Therapist

          · Properly cleaning and sterilizing equipment

      • MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
        • Professional & Technical Skills
          • Good written and oral communication skills
          • Recommendation from academic program chair
        • Education
          • High School Diploma or GED
          • BLS certification
          • Currently enrolled with good standing in a CoARC credentialed program
          • Must have completed course studies in:
            • i. Anatomy and physiology
            • ii. Medical gas administration
            • iii. Respiratory pharmacology
            • iv. Medical aerosol administration
        • Other Skills or Requirements
          • Must be eligible to apply for student permit through the Indiana Health Professions Bureau
          • Customer service oriented personality
        • Skilled to Care for Certain Age-Related Patient Groups (incumbents will be skilled in the care of the following patient groups)
          • All age groups
