The Respiratory Care Practitioner service patients in their home, contracted facility, by providing either clinical respiratory services or equipment management services on a scheduled visit, appointment, or through on-call notification.
Responsibilities:
• Completing day to day orders called into the Respiratory Therapy Department and follow up on visits for apnea monitor and or ventilator patients in compliance with all regulatory agencies. • Education of patient and caregivers regarding set up, use, maintenance, and safety of respiratory therapy equipment in the home. • Performs diagnostic testing on behalf of the physician. • Communication with the patients physician regarding clarification of orders or the patients response to care may be required. • Performs other duties as assigned.
Certifications and Licensures Required
• RRT Respiratory Therapy License • OR CRT welcomed for review • Active NBRC Credential for RRT • BLS Active • Drivers License
Education Required
• Technical Respiratory Therapy • Associates Respiratory Therapy • Specific Skills Required
• Clinical skills appropriate to position • Computer skills appropriate to position • Collaborate and work with a team
