ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

We are seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with pediatric experience for a 13-week travel contract at OU Health in Oklahoma City, OK. This is a high-demand position with strong potential for contract extension. If you know a qualified candidate, refer them and earn a $500 referral bonus after placement.

  

COMPENSATION

- Regular rate: $75.00/hr

- Overtime rate: $90.00/hr

- Contract length: 13 weeks (extension highly likely)

- Referral bonus: $500 upon placement of referred candidate

  

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Administer therapeutic respiratory treatments as ordered by attending medical staff

- Document treatment information and patient responses in the electronic medical record

- Perform invasive and noninvasive diagnostic testing and patient monitoring

- Provide age-appropriate respiratory care across pediatric patient populations

- Respond as part of the rapid response team for cardiac and respiratory arrests

- Serve as a clinical resource to medical staff on pulmonary and cardiac matters

- Ensure respiratory equipment is properly cleaned and maintained

- Maintain accurate respiratory therapy records

 

 REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Graduate of an approved Respiratory Care Program

- Licensed by the Oklahoma Board of Medical Licensure and Supervision as a Respiratory Care Practitioner

- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential (must be obtained within 12 months of hire if not yet held)

- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification – American Heart Association (required upon hire)

- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification – American Heart Association (required within 3 months of hire)

 

 PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

 - 2+ years of respiratory care experience in a critical care setting

 

 SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE

- Knowledge of respiratory therapy procedures, techniques, and equipment operation

- Clinical decision-making skills related to pulmonary and cardiac patient care

- Ability to provide age-appropriate care and interpret patient needs accurately

- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate effectively with care teams

- Ability to perform well in high-stress, fast-paced environments

- Basic computer skills; experience with EMR systems
