Description
UNIT DETAILS: CRT not accepted - The care provided by the Respiratory Care Services Department includes any services involving the evaluation of cardiopulmonary function, the treatment of cardiopulmonary impairment, the assessment of treatment effectiveness, and the care of patients with deficiencies and abnormalities with the cardiopulmonary system. Respiratory Care Practitioners attend all high-risk c-sections and high-risk deliveries to effectively manage the neonate's airway according to Neonatal Protocol. Respiratory Care Practitioners attend all resuscitations and are responsible for the patient's airway and providing ventilatory support. Ventilatory care is provided by the Respiratory Care Services Department in the Emergency Department, ICU/CCU, PACU and the level III nursery. All care is provided upon the supervision of a licensed physician. Patient care decisions are made based upon patient assessment data and analysis of diagnostic information. WEEKEND: Every Other CALL: None FLOATING: Within facility/scope of practice as needed MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: 2 years - Unit accepts first time travelers

RTO: MAX 7 days
HOLIDAYS: If one major holiday falls in his/her assignment period, the traveler is expected to work it. If two major holidays fall in his/her assignment period, the traveler is expected to work both of the holidays. If three major holidays fall in his/her assignment period, the traveler is expected to work two of the holidays.
