We are seeking a Respiratory Sales Specialist to build and grow a respiratory care business within an assigned territory. This position is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with key clinical, purchasing, and supply chain decision-makers while expanding existing accounts and identifying new business opportunities across acute and non-acute care settings.
The ideal candidate brings a strong background in respiratory or medical device sales, excellent clinical and presentation skills, and a proven track record of growing a territory and achieving sales objectives.
The Respiratory Sales Specialist will serve as a clinical and consultative resource for customers, providing product education, conducting product trials, supporting implementations, and helping healthcare organizations identify solutions to respiratory care challenges.

Job DetailsEssential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Achieve territory sales and revenue objectives for the respiratory care product portfolio.
- Develop and maintain relationships with physicians, respiratory therapists, nurses, clinicians, supply chain professionals, purchasing teams, and other key decision-makers.
- Expand existing customer relationships into new departments, product categories, and opportunities.
- Identify and develop new accounts within the assigned territory.
- Deliver compelling clinical and technical presentations to healthcare professionals.
- Develop strong technical knowledge of respiratory care products and communicate their clinical benefits effectively.
- Understand applicable industry guidelines and demonstrate how products align with clinical needs and practices.
- Understand competitive products, including their strengths and weaknesses, and effectively position company solutions in the marketplace.
- Serve as a clinical and consultative problem solver for customers and field-level stakeholders.
- Develop a thorough understanding of the territory, customer base, contracts, competitive landscape, and distribution models.
- Conduct product evaluations, trials, demonstrations, and implementations.
- Provide ongoing post-sale support to ensure a positive customer experience and successful product adoption.
- Develop relationships with respiratory and critical-care professionals through relevant industry and professional organizations.
- Maintain an effective territory business plan focused on market share growth and strategic accounts.
- Utilize data-driven sales processes, including pipeline management, gap analysis, value selling, and continuous improvement.
- Partner with sales leadership to align territory activities with regional and company objectives.
- Complete special projects and other responsibilities as assigned.
- Occasionally work evenings or weekends when customer or business needs require.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
- Minimum of 3 years of successful sales experience.
- Prior respiratory and/or medical device sales experience is required.
- Experience selling into hospitals, health systems, or non-acute healthcare settings strongly preferred.
- Experience with respiratory therapy products and services preferred.
- Tracheostomy product experience is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated history of meeting or exceeding sales quotas and growing a territory.
- Experience developing relationships with clinical stakeholders and supply chain decision-makers.
- Strong understanding of strategic account development and territory management.
- Ability to develop and execute a business plan focused on market share growth.
- Strong presentation and communication skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Self-motivated and comfortable working independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and standard business technology.
- Valid driver's license and ability to meet company requirements for business driving.
- Ability to maintain required customer-site credentials and compliance requirements.
