Position SummaryThe Supervisor of Respiratory Therapy is responsible for the day-to-day clinical and operational oversight of the Respiratory Therapy Department under the direction of the Director/Manager of Respiratory Therapy. Assists in ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality respiratory care services in compliance with hospital policies, regulatory standards, and evidence-based practice.The Supervisor coordinates staffing assignments, assists with scheduling, monitors departmental workflow, and supports quality improvement initiatives. Promotes collaboration among interdisciplinary teams to ensure efficient patient care delivery and departmental operations. Provides leadership, education, mentoring, and support to respiratory therapy staff while serving as a clinical resource and role model.Responsible for assisting with employee coaching, orientation, competency assessments, and performance improvement activities.
