Respiratory Therapist (RRT/CRT) – Council Bluffs, Iowa

 

Direct Hire | Part-Time | Nights (24 Hours/Week)

 

Position Overview

A leading regional health system is seeking a Respiratory Therapist for a permanent part-time night shift opportunity in Council Bluffs, Iowa. This role provides respiratory care to patients across a variety of acute care settings while working alongside a collaborative multidisciplinary team. Both Registered Respiratory Therapists (RRTs) and Certified Respiratory Therapists (CRTs) are encouraged to apply.

 

Shift Details

  • Part-Time – 24 hours per week
  • Night Shift
  • Rotating weekdays
  • Two weekend shifts required per month
  • Evening Shift Differential: 10%
  • Night Shift Differential: 15%
  • Weekend Differential: 10%

Compensation & Incentives

  • Pay Range: $29.43-$44.15/hour (based on experience)
  • $20,000 Sign-On Bonus
  • Up to $10,000 Tuition Assistance over four years
  • Sign-on bonus paid in installments at:
    • 6 months
    • 1 year
    • 2 years
    • 3 years

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess, treat, and monitor patients with cardiopulmonary disorders.
  • Administer respiratory therapies and oxygen treatment.
  • Perform ventilator management and airway care.
  • Assist with emergency respiratory interventions as needed.
  • Educate patients and families on respiratory treatments and equipment.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans.
  • Accurately document treatments and patient responses.

Requirements

 

Required:

  • Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program
  • Current RRT or CRT credential accepted
  • Current BLS certification (or ability to obtain upon hire)
  • Eligible for Iowa Respiratory Care licensure (if applicable)

Preferred:

  • Previous acute care hospital experience
  • ACLS, PALS, and/or NRP certifications (depending on department assignment)
