Job Description:

Arbor View Nursing and Rehab is seeking a dedicated Respiratory Therapist to join our amazing team! The primary purpose of the position is to provide specialized respiratory care to residents in a skilled nursing facility. The RT ensures the safe and effective delivery of respiratory treatments, monitors patient responses, and collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to optimize respiratory health and overall well-being. Compensation based on experience and $5K Sign on Bonus!

Some Duties Include:

• Deliver direct respiratory care and treatment to residents with physician orders and established protocols.
• Perform regular assessments of residents' respiratory status, including auscultation, oxygen saturation, ventilator settings, and airway patency.
• Manage and maintain ventilator and tracheostomy equipment, including setup, calibration, cleaning, and troubleshooting.
• Suction and maintain airways, including trach tube care and replacement when indicated.
• Administer oxygen therapy, aerosolized medications, CPT (chest physiotherapy), and other respiratory modalities.

Skills, Education and Experience

• Minimum one (1) year experience working with adults in a long term care setting
• Education:Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited program.
• Licensure:Current and active state Respiratory Therapist license.
• Strong knowledge of respiratory therapy procedures, equipment, and infection control practices.
• Ability to perform detailed assessments and respond appropriately in urgent situations.
• Excellent communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Compassionate, patient-focused, and adaptable to the skilled nursing environment.
