Respiratory Therapist
About Facility:
o 207 licensed beds
o No Trauma Designation
o Not a Teaching Hospital
o Chest Pain Center
o Stroke Center
o Radius rule: Traveler's permanent address must be 50 miles outside of home unit
Department Information:
o Census? Average patients/day? 225
o Minimum Years of Experience required? 2 years
o Will you accept a first-time traveler? Yes
Patient Types/Common Diagnoses:
o Adults only will float through all units
Required License, National Certification, Certs (BLS, ACLS, etc.), or other position specific requirements such as Driver's License and/or Insurance:
o BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP (Resource Team requirements)
o RRT or CRT
o NC Licensure
Skills required:
o ICU, ED, Progressive
Support within the Department:
o Leadership
Technology/Equipment:
o EMR: EPIC
o Department specific Equipment: Servo, Nitric Oxide, Volara, Airvo 2
Floating:
o Will be required to float per Region needs will require floating to all facilities listed below, as needed, within scope of practice DECLINE if not agreeable
Region 1 - Cabarrus, University City, Stanly, Lake Norman, any Freestanding ED within Region, Central Division (CMC Main + Mercy + LCH)
If floating mid-shift, Traveler will be paid for the time traveling between facilities (will remain on the clock)
Orientation (facility and unit):
o NEO
o 2 days departmental
Scheduling:
o Weekend rotation: every other
o No call
o Holiday Expectations: Travelers will work 75% of holidays
o RTO: Can approve up to 6 days off, excluding holidays must add time to the end of the contract if unable to meet contracted hours
o Schedule cycle: 6 weeks
