Minimum Qualifications:
Graduate of an American Medical Association (AMA) approved school of Respiratory Care
Licensure/Certification/Registration:
BLS
Certified or certified-eligible by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC),
Licensed by the Alabama State Board of Respiratory Therapy
If not certified by NBRC, must obtain certification by expiration of Temporary License date
ACLS certification may be required in designated areas as determined by administration
Desired Qualifications:
Associate degree or BS degree in Respiratory Science
Desired Licensure, Registration, Certification:
Registered by the National Board of Respiratory Care
Responsibilities:Under general direction, position is responsible for setting up and operating various types of respiratory care equipment and performing or assisting with procedures utilized in the diagnosis or treatment of cardiopulmonary disease or illness.
