    Sign-On Bonus: $20,000

    Position Title: Respiratory Therapist RRT/CRT
    Location: Gainesville, FL 32605
    Shifts Available: Nights (Rotating Weekends)
    Salary Range: $27.42 $36.95 per hour

    Job Summary:

    We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Respiratory Therapist (RRT/CRT) to join our healthcare team in Gainesville, FL. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality respiratory care to patients in critical and acute care settings. This role requires a professional who demonstrates sound clinical judgment, communicates effectively, and ensures the best outcomes for patients requiring respiratory therapy services.

    You will be responsible for assessing, planning, and administering respiratory therapy treatments as prescribed by physicians. This includes delivering, setting up, and maintaining both routine and advanced respiratory care therapies and equipment, such as oxygen systems, aerosol therapies, and ventilators. The therapist will also perform and interpret Arterial Blood Gases (ABGs) and participate in patient education as needed.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Administer respiratory care procedures and treatments as ordered by physicians.
    • Monitor and assess patient responses to therapy and make necessary adjustments.
    • Maintain and troubleshoot respiratory therapy equipment, ensuring safe and efficient operation.
    • Perform and analyze Arterial Blood Gas (ABG) tests accurately.
    • Document all treatments, procedures, and patient progress in a timely and accurate manner.
    • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver coordinated patient care.
    • Provide education to patients and families on respiratory treatments and home care when needed.
    • Recognize and report any signs of patient abuse or neglect according to policy.
    • Follow all infection control, safety, and hospital policies and procedures.

    Qualifications:

    • Minimum Experience: 1 year of RRT experience required (ICU, CVICU, NICU, PICU, or Critical Care Unit preferred).
    • Candidates with home care or long-term care experience will also be considered.
    • CRT candidates are welcome to apply.
    • Licensure: Current Florida State Respiratory License (RRT or CRT).
    • Certifications:
    • NBRC Credential RRT/CRT
    • BLS (Basic Life Support) Required
    • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) Must be obtained within 30 days of hire
    • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) Must be obtained within 30 days of hire
    • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) Must be obtained within 30 days of hire
