Requirements
Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credential.
Current state Respiratory Care Practitioner license (or ability to obtain prior to start).
Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
Ability to travel throughout the Grants Pass/Medford service area.
Strong clinical assessment, communication, and patient education skills.
Ability to work independently and manage a daily patient schedule.
Preferences
Experience in home care, home health, acute care, LTACH, pulmonary rehabilitation, or durable medical equipment (DME).
Experience managing ventilators, oxygen therapy, CPAP, and BiPAP equipment.
Previous experience providing respiratory care in patients' homes.
Experience educating patients and caregivers on respiratory equipment and treatment plans.
Experience working with adult or Veteran populations.
Current BLS certification (if not already required by state licensure).
Key Responsibilities
Provide in-home respiratory care and clinical support to Veterans throughout the Grants Pass and Medford service area.
Assess patients and monitor respiratory status, therapy effectiveness, and equipment needs.
Set up, troubleshoot, and manage respiratory equipment including ventilators, oxygen therapy systems, CPAP, and BiPAP devices.
Educate patients and caregivers on respiratory equipment operation, maintenance, and treatment plans.
Perform routine follow-up visits to ensure compliance, optimize therapy, and improve patient outcomes.
Document patient assessments, treatments, and clinical interventions accurately and timely.
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, case managers, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
Manage an active caseload of approximately 23–25 patients while independently organizing daily travel and visit schedules.
Maintain current knowledge of respiratory therapy best practices, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
