The Respiratory Therapist at MD Anderson Cancer Center provides respiratory care modalities to patients as ordered by physicians or based on approved protocols, including the administration of respiratory related medications, oxygen and humidity therapies, airway clearance therapy, invasive and non invasive ventilation, lung studies, and other procedures in both ICU and non ICU settings. This role directly impacts patient safety, quality of care, and the overall patient experience across the continuum of care.
The ideal candidate will have an Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited program, hold RRT, BLS, ACLS, and Texas Medical Board Respiratory Care Practitioner licensure, and be able to work the 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM shift, Monday-Friday, with rotating weekends and holidays, totaling 36 hours per week.
The Respiratory Care team supports patients across all inpatient and critical care areas, delivering life sustaining therapies and collaborating closely with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams. Respiratory Therapists play a vital role in airway management, ventilatory support, diagnostics, and emergency response throughout the institution.

Minimum $32.21| Midpoint $40.14 | Maximum $48.08
