Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) / Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT)

Our client in Western Illinois is actively seeking a dedicated Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) to join a collaborative respiratory care team providing exceptional care in a progressive acute care environment.


Position Summary

The Respiratory Therapist is responsible for performing a wide variety of respiratory care procedures and treatments as prescribed by physicians. This role provides care for patients ranging from neonates through geriatrics and works closely with physicians, nurses, and the interdisciplinary care team to deliver safe, high-quality respiratory care.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform respiratory therapy treatments and diagnostic procedures according to physician orders
  • Assess, monitor, and evaluate patients with respiratory and cardiopulmonary conditions
  • Administer oxygen therapy, aerosol medications, airway clearance therapies, and other respiratory treatments
  • Assist with ventilator management and advanced respiratory support
  • Provide compassionate care to neonatal, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients
  • Accurately document patient assessments, treatments, and outcomes
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to support positive patient outcomes
  • Maintain compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards

Qualifications

Required

  • Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care program
  • Current Illinois Respiratory Therapist license or eligibility (letter of authority for new graduates)
  • Current ACLS certification

Preferred

  • Associate's degree in Respiratory Therapy
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential

New graduates are encouraged to apply. Candidates awaiting licensure may be considered, provided state licensing requirements are met.
