Facility: BayCare Health System - Respiratory Care Services Location: St. Josephs Womens and Childrens Hospital - Transport Status: Full Time Exempt No:Shift Hours: 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM Shift Nights: Weekend Work Every Other On Call: No

Description:

The Registered Respiratory Therapist is a clinical professional who utilizes the departments scope of services to access, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care as an integral member of the healthcare team.

The Registered Respiratory Therapist delivers Respiratory Care Services under the order of the physician and in accordance with protocols established by the hospital, other healthcare providers, or the board, and functions in situations of unsupervised patient contact requiring individual judgment. Performs noninvasive and invasive procedures with minimal oversight.

Responsible for appropriate utilization of team resources to effectively and efficiently provide clinical services and quality patient outcomes. Accountable for planning, organizing, and controlling all aspects of daily operations.

This role will be for the Pediatric/Neonatal Transport Team. A background in Transport or the NICU is highly preferred.

Required Experience:

  1. 1 year of Respiratory Experience
  2. A background in NICU or Transport
  3. 20000 Level II or Level III NICU Experience

Certifications and Licensures:

  • ACLS (Cardiovascular) - Required
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) - Required
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) - Required
  • Registered Respiratory license - Required
  • Active NBRC Credential for RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist)

Education:

  • Associates degree in respiratory - Required
