Respiratory Therapist

A Respiratory Therapist opportunity is available in Ocala, FL at a 256-bed Level II Trauma Center and Comprehensive Stroke Center serving patients of all ages across inpatient and emergency settings.

The role. Working under general supervision, the Registered Respiratory Therapist sets up and administers routine and complex respiratory therapy procedures for patients across all age groups. A core focus of the position is the application and operation of acute care ventilators for both short- and long-term continuous mechanical ventilation. Therapists are expected to work with a high degree of independence when the full-time Team Leader is not present, maintaining department and hospital records and entering accurate therapy documentation into the hospital information system.

What we're looking for.

• 1+ years of recent (within the last year or current) acute care RRT experience required; CRT experience is considered
• NBRC and State Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) required
• Associate Degree or Vocational School Graduate/Certificate Program in Respiratory Therapy
• BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
• PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
• NRP - Neonate Resuscitate must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date

Schedule. Day and night shifts available, both with rotating weekend coverage (12-hour shifts).

Compensation. $29.56 - $40.65/hr plus Sign On: On a case by case basis RELO case by case Shift Diff: Nights (12hr) - $4.25 Weekends - $3.00
