Job Summary and Qualifications
We are currently looking for an ambitious Registered Respiratory Therapist to help us reach our goals. As a Respiratory Therapist RRT on our team, you will evaluate the respiratory needs of and develop and implement the Respiratory Care Plan for your patients. We are an amazing team who works hard to support each other, and we are seeking a phenomenal addition like you who feels patient care is as meaningful as we do. Your duties and responsibilities may include:
• You will be responsible for the application and operation of acute care ventilators used for continuous, short, and long-term mechanical ventilation. • You must be self-directed in the absence of the full-time Team Leader. • You will maintain all department and hospital records and enter accurate information into the hospital computer for the therapy as given. • You will perform your procedures with care and empathy for our patients.
Requirements
• Current Florida Registered Respiratory Therapist licensure. • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. • ACLS, PALS, and NRP within 6 months of hire. • Graduate of a Respiratory Care program accredited by the Committee on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARCF). • Frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, and moving equipment. • Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. • Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate actions in volatile situations. • Customer service abilities, including effective listening skills.
