Summary:
The Respiratory Therapist (RRT) is responsible for providing direct patient care services with a specific emphasis on pulmonary function testing and the initiation of CPAP devices. This role involves supporting requests for continued supply of durable medical equipment, such as oxygen concentrators and nebulizers, assisting in training on the use of inhalers, and setting up patients with DME equipment. The RRT will work closely with physicians to ensure optimal patient care.
Responsibilities:
Provide direct patient care services with a focus on pulmonary function testing and initiation of CPAP devices.
Support requests for continued supply of durable medical equipment such as oxygen concentrators and nebulizers.
Assist in training on the use of inhalers.
Set up patients with DME equipment.
Work closely with physicians to ensure optimal patient care.
Required Skills:
RRT certification - Required.
1 year of experience in a hospital or physician office - Required.
Computer literacy - Required.
Certifications & Licenses:
RRT or CRT certification - Required.
NJ State RCP License - Required.
ACLS & BLS AHA - Required.
