Respiratory Therapist (RT) – Pediatric

Location: Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
Contract: 13 Weeks
Shift: Nights
Patient Population: Pediatric

Note: The schedule and shift details will be discussed during the interview.

Job Requirements

• Pediatric Respiratory Therapy experience required
• Experience with breathing treatments
• Tracheostomy care experience
• Suctioning experience
• Oxygen setup and management
• Ventilator experience
• Ability to assist physicians with intubation and airway stabilization
• Must maintain compliance with applicable state licensing and Joint Commission requirements

Key Responsibilities

• Obtain appropriate physician orders before initiating respiratory therapy.
• Assess patients before and after respiratory treatments.
• Set up and administer routine respiratory therapy modalities according to facility policies and procedures.
• Perform point-of-care testing (POCT), including controls, proficiency testing, and documentation.
• Assist physicians with airway management and securing airways during intubation.
• Provide safe, high-quality respiratory care to pediatric patients.
