Provo Rehab & Nursing is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Respiratory Therapist to join our team. This role is responsible for providing high-quality respiratory care to residents, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and ensuring optimal patient outcomes in a long-term care environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer respiratory therapy treatments and interventions as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor and assess patient vital signs and respiratory status regularly.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine appropriate care plans.
- Educate patients and families on respiratory health and treatment plans.
- Collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress and treatment outcomes.
- Perform routine and emergency respiratory care procedures.
- Ensure proper maintenance and use of respiratory equipment.
Qualifications:
- Current Respiratory Therapist license in the state of Utah
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; additional certifications are a plus
- Minimum of 1 year of experience preferred, ideally in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting
- Strong clinical, communication, and organizational skills
