Respiratory Therapist

Location: Cincinnati, OH

Job Type: Contract 

Contract Length: 13 Weeks

Shift: Night Shift | 3x12s

Hours: 36 Hours Per Week

Job Summary

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Respiratory Therapist to provide critical and non-critical respiratory care services across all age groups in an acute care hospital setting. The ideal candidate will possess strong cardiopulmonary assessment skills, critical care experience, and the ability to perform advanced respiratory diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. NICU experience is required.

Required Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy Program

  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential issued by NBRC

  • Current Respiratory Therapist License

  • Current BLS Certification (AHA)

  • Current ACLS Certification (AHA)

  • Minimum 2 years of Respiratory Therapy experience

  • NICU experience required

  • Strong critical care and cardiopulmonary disease management knowledge

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1–3 years of acute care Respiratory Therapy experience

  • Active membership with the American Association for Respiratory Care (AARC)

  • NRP Certification for NICU

Responsibilities

  • Assess patients and monitor response to respiratory therapy interventions.

  • Deliver critical and non-critical respiratory care services to patients of all ages.

  • Perform invasive and non-invasive diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.

  • Administer respiratory treatments and monitor patient outcomes.

  • Assist physicians with cardiopulmonary assessments and recommendations.

  • Maintain accurate patient documentation and department records.

  • Educate patients and families regarding respiratory conditions, treatments, and home care.

  • Precept students and newly hired respiratory therapists.

  • Participate in departmental meetings, competency training, and continuing education.

  • Serve in charge therapist or team leader roles when assigned.

  • Follow hospital policies, respiratory care standards, and state licensure requirements.
