Required Skills:
- A.A.S. in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited program
- NYS license/registration as a Respiratory Therapist
- At least 2 years of clinical acute care experience post-A.A.S.
- Proficiency in administering positive pressure and aerosol therapies
- Ability to monitor and manage oxygen therapy
- Experience assisting physicians with continuous ventilation setup and management
- Competence in performing pulmonary function tests and radial arterial punctures
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Successful passing of pre-employment health clearance
Nice to Have Skills:
- Additional certifications in advanced airway management or critical care
- Experience with ventilator management in diverse clinical settings
- Bilingual abilities to communicate with diverse patient populations
Preferred Education and Experience:
- An Associates Degree in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited institution
- Minimum of two years of acute care respiratory therapy experience in a hospital setting
Other Requirements:
- Availability to work a 12-hour night shift
- Ability to pass background checks and health screenings
- Flexibility to adapt to evolving clinical needs
- Possession of relevant licensure and certifications
- Willingness to undergo necessary trainings and continued education
Compensation and Benefits:
Hourly Pay Rate: $57.85
