Position Objective:

Provides technical support including maintaining respiratory care and pulmonary function equipment and supplies as well as administrative and clerical support for department functioning.

Essential Job Duties:

1. Perform equipment processing, clerical and administrative support tasks as assigned. Maintains records as required to meet departmental, organizational and regulatory standards.
2. Maintains supply and equipment inventory.  Reviews par levels and orders inventory supplies in the quantities needed
3. Performs routine maintenance and quality control activities on respiratory care equipment and arterial blood gas machines.
4. Disassembles, assembles, decontaminates, and disinfects respiratory therapy equipment according to manufacturers' and departmental standards.
5. Uses established department procedures to record and process loaner/rental equipment.

Educational/Experience Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Three to six months’ health care experience with experience in clerical and administrative support functions.
• Preferred: Previous equipment processing experience.
